How to select the right size of the shirt?

Around neck

measuring tape should be slightly relaxed and placed around the widest place of the neck (see 1 in the diagram).

Around chest

measuring tape should be placed around the widest place of the chest in front and back of the body (see 2 in the diagram).

Around the waist

measuring tape should be placed around the slimmest place of the waist (see 3 in the diagram).

Around hips

measuring tape should be placed around the widest place of the hips (see 4 in the diagram).

Sleeve length

measuring tape placed horizontally from back neck to wrist (see E in the diagram).

Shirt length

measuring tape placed down from back neck (or lower edge of collar stand) to shirt hem (see F in the diagram).

What are the differences between numerical and alpha shirt sizing?

There are two different types of sizing scales for shirts: numerical sizing, which is based on your neck size, and alpha sizing, which is the size range named by letters such as S, M, L. Alpha sizing is often used for more casual designs, whereas formal wear uses number sizing due to its higher fit standards.Please see what equivalents to numerical sizing are versus alphabetical sizing system:
